SUPREME SALON TOUR - HAIRWARS - CALGARY 2012

Last Sunday, Calgary experienced an unforgettable evening of creativity
within the beauty & fashion world.
HAIR WARS - The Supreme Salon Tour - is one of the top industry event where top salons compete down the runway for the title of "Supreme Salon" - produced by Windy City Media who definitely knows how to put the highest quality show together.
Hosted for the first time 12 years ago, the goal of this event was to create an industry night throughout the world searching for top salons, stylists, makeup artists, models, accessories, costuming,
fashion lines & designers.

This year, Benjamin Moline (Executive Producer) decided to go internationally and brought the Hair Wars to Canada - and Calgary was chosen to be the first city for the competition within the country.
Located in the heart of Downtown Calgary - Flames Central - was transformed into beauty&fashion mekka where top ten hair salons from all over Alberta province competed on the runway.
Each of the salons had to pick the theme for hair creations - and honestly the audience was blown out by the imagination of salons' teams, which were as following: Alanti Hair GroupTwisted Banana (http://www.twistedbanana.ca)The Verve (http://www.vervesalon.ca/)Shag (http://www.shagitlikeyoumeanit.ca/)Edges Salon&Spa (http://www.edgessalonandspa.com/), Delmar College (http://www.delmarcollege.com/)Curious (http://www.rucurious.ca/)DivasSalon on 6th (http://www.salonon6th.com/) & Image Cuts.
After presentation, the judges (including President of Salon Magazine - Laura Dunphy) had to select their favourite top 3 salons and the winning team will be moving on to a National Finals,
held in Las Vegas, later this year.
Thanks to the Hair Wars host,  Ben Mollin - BRAVO's "Shear Genius" finalist - the show was an unforgettable experience and the announcement was as following - The 1st place was taken by Twisted Banana, 2nd & 3rd place won Divas and Delmar College.

Personally, one of my favourite ones were Edges Salon&Spa who did choose Madonna and her music videos as an inspiration for the show; as well as Divas.
Big "Thank you" words to the producers of Hair Wars for bringing such an amazing show to our city - we will definitely be looking forward to the next one!!!
