On November 28 2012, the CORE (TD Square/Holt Renfrew) will celebrate the season with the return of  ‘Twas the Night, the much anticipated premiere holiday event.

Last year, thousands attended the inaugural event to kick off the holiday season, support two worthy charities, and shop one-night-only retail offers.
This year, guests will enjoy a one-of-a-kind performance from Alberta Ballet featuring highlights from The Nutcrackerspecially choreographed for the CORE;
walk the red carpet with celebrity host (and native Calgarian) Jessi Cruickshank of MTV and Etalk; and witness the lighting of the CORE’s stunning Christmas tree, the largest of it’s kind in Western Canada, complete with indoor fireworks under the CORE’s record-breaking skylight.
In addition, ELLE Canada Magazine’s Editor-In-Chief Noreen Flanagan  will be in attendance to hand deliver ELLE Canada’s coveted December issue to
the first 1,000 guests.

‘Twas the Night is a ‘give to get in’ event. A $15.00 donation gets You the ticket and can be purchased online at or in person at customer service in the CORE.
All ticket proceeds from the event will be donated to two charities that are championing the future of Calgary’s inner city: The United Way of Calgary’s next generation initiative ‘BeCause’ and the National Music Centre Project.

Don't miss it!!!

Documentary movies - and especially those based on true stories - always leave an impact in people's life - even if only for a short period of time, they can be a great eye-opener for what is important in our everyday race.

On November 21, 2010, professional triathlete Janelle Morrison was almost killed in a head on collision near Revelstoke, BC. When she came out of a coma, her body shattered,  almost everyone including the doctors wrote off her career. Janelle refused. She hung on to her dream. For the next sixteen months, every day was a fight for a second chance.

On November 21, 2012,  2 years from the day of the accident, at the Globe Cinema in Calgary, there is going to be the film premiere of A Second Chance, the story of that fight.

Hosted by Dave Kelly, the event will feature a Q&A with Janelle, a reception, and the world premiere of the film. DVD's will be available.

7:00 p.m. showing is SOLD OUT - but if You are interested - there are still tickets
 available for 7:30 p.m.!!!!

NEWS FROM SOTHYS PARIS - Seasonal Facial Autumn-Winter 2012!!!

It is this time of the year-when we should pay more attention to our skin.
Sothys Paris came up with an original concept combining chronobiology and amazing flavours to reveal skin's radiance every season. Especially in Fall - our skin gets weaker;  in Winter - it slows down. Dull and tired - it needs to boost its defence system to face the attack of the cold season - well, especially in Calgary.

Our skin produces millions of toxins every day - excluding those that come from external factors such as stress and pollution. As the result - it is harder for the skin to renew itself. That is why the new Sothys solution is ideal to fight against all those concerns - the Blackberry&Apple oxygenating seasonal treatment is now available for You to try exclusively at selected SPA's that carry Sothys skincare line. This 45 minutes facial contains of scrub, mask and relaxing modelling
 for revitalised & resplendent skin.

To exceed Your expectations - you can follow the spa ritual by using home beauty kit, that includes Oxy-mineral treatment - with an essential dose of minerals that can be used with Your regular beauty ritual for 21 days. Containing a complex of antitoxins & a cocktail of minerals - it helps Your skin to cope with the attacks of winter and restores its radiance.
The second product to be used at home is 2-in-1 mask exfoliant - that contains grains to remove impurities from the skin. Used as a mask, it provides oxygen to the skin. Rich in pink clay - it makes Your skin soft and radiant!!

Although I didnt have a chance to try the SPA treatment on my own - I did use the home kit-and....what a beautifully radiant skin just after the first usage of this new skincare solution!!!

If You have any additional questions - send me an email to and I will more more than happy to guide You further:-)

It is this time of the year when Calgary is celebrating fashion&art scene by having its annual event - ARTwear who celebrated its tenth anniversary with amazing line - up of
local boutiques&fashion designers!!
As always - celebration was held at beautiful Hotel Arts starting with the ACAD Wearable Art Showcase, and followed by the ARTwear 2012 Fashion Show featuring designers
Paul Hardy and Lara Presber, as well as boutiques Coco & Violet, Henry Singer
Leo Boutique and Mealan.

As always -  fashion show creates lots of gossip - there are always viewers who enjoy the show - and fashionistas who appreciate the true fashion&style. Last night, we could witness really great pieces featuring designs both from Paul Hardy & Lara Presber collections - but some of the styles presented by local boutiques-were as much interesting as well with my favourite
clothes&accessories from Mealan.

After the Runway Show, all Guests could sip on Belvedere cocktails, bid on exciting Silent Auction prizes, and dance the night away to a live big band orchestra!

The theme for the night was Vintage Hollywood - and I have to say - most of the Attendees followed the theme and dressed accordingly to the theme, which made the evening even more interesting to watch...and added a glamour flare to it... :)
