When it comes to celebrating Father's Day - finding a perfect gift for our Dads can be a real challenge. Many of you ask me how do I surprise my Dad every year. Well, I know that bottle of a good whisky will put a smile on his face for sure:-)
This interesting trio that I am featuring here will be definitely a perfect gift for every Father!
Glenfarclas is renowned for producing Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky in the traditional Speyside style, with a heavy Sherry influence. They produce a wide range of expressions from the mouthwatering freshness of the 10 Years Old, to the indulgent 30 Years Old.
In this trio you will find 3 miniatures of different kind of whisky - 10 Year Old, 12 Year Old and 105 Cask Strength.
The 10 Year Old whisky has tempting sherry-sweet malty tones that combine with delicate smokiness, releasing subtle spices. Delicately light, the flavour is a mouth-watering combination of maltiness, smokiness and sherry sweetness. Hints of dried fruit, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves tempt the taste buds further.
The 12 Year Old is an excellent introduction to the distillery style. It is fresh and beautifully light, where sherried fruit note is combined with a tempting spicy sweetness and a hint of sappy oak.
Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength (60%) is a great whisky holding all the flavours of all the Glenfarclas in one glass. Being so warming, this is the perfect Hogmanay dram. It has dry and assertive flavour that develops quickly to reveal a rich spiciness, combined with a hint of oak and sherried fruit. When it comes to nose, it can be described as complex, oaky, with hint of apples and pears, and a tempting dark toffee sweetness.
