like to introduce to you.
This wine is made from fruit derived from Henry of Pelham’s own
vineyard in Ontario and is aged in American oak barrels for 6 to 8 months. It
is deeply colored and has spicy, blueberry compote flavors with natural currant
and briar patch fruit. It displays startling intensity that will increase in
complexity over the next five years. It is the perfect wine for a summer or
Canada-day barbeque as it is not too heavy, yet full of flavor. Ontario is
known for this unique varietal Baco Noir.
Mt.
Boucherie Gewürtztraminer
Flavors and
aromas of fresh rose petals and lychee make this wine a true Gewürztraminer.
Made from 100% estate fruit from Sunrise Vineyard in OK Falls BC, Similkameen
Vineyard in Cawston BC and Douglas Road Vineyard in West Kelowna BC, this refreshing,
dry wine pairs very well with apple pork chops, Moroccan vegetable curry,
shrimp Pad Thai or any other light summery foods. You can also enjoy it all by
itself to wind down on your patio after a long day.
Culmina
Family estate Unicus Grüner Veltliner
Latin for incomparable, unprecedented, or ‘only’, Unicus
represents the Okanagan Valley’s only release of Grüner Veltliner. Harvested
from Margaret’s Bench, one of the highest vineyards in the Okanagan, Unicus
displays notes of mineral, citrus, and peach that are complimented by subtle
wild flower and spice aromatics. Framed by Unicus’ generous palate, white
pepper and herbal flavours emerge and are carried through the mid-palate by a
distinct mineral core, and a long, pithy, white grapefruit finish. Unicus
embodies Culmina’s effort to create wines of outstanding originality, interest,
elegance, and style. This highly sought after wine is brand new to Alberta. It
is another perfect patio pleasing wine, complementing light barbeque foods and
fresh seafood. The production is very limited, so best get your hands on it
while you can!
