BAROQUE FROSTED GALA 2010

It was great night at The Bank where Dori's Diamonds had her 3rd Annual Frosted Gala. Guests had chance to experience beautiful fashion designs of Nicole Rita Tomney from NRT presented by gorgeous models escorted to their podiums by dancing girls from La Gogue Inc.- everything accompanied with great music of Marchella Mafrica. After fashion show-all guests were partying in the baroque themed venue till the morning!!

One of my favorite Spa in Calgary celebrated it's 2nd Anniversary. I have chance to know Leanne Quong - the owner - from the beginning of the Spa functioning and believe me- the atmosphere of the place and high-end treatments (all done by Leanne) with usage of French products from Guinot are the best way to recharge your batteries and relax your body and mind. Congratulations Leanne and looking forward to the next anniversary celebration!!!!

WOLFORD BOUTIQUE LAUNCH GALA IN CALGARY

Calgary's hottest boutiques added to the list a new store opened in Fashion Central located in the heart of downtown area. November 18th was "the date" of Wolford Store Launch Gala where guests and media could see beautiful models wearing exclusive hosiery from Wolford -known as the brand that has stood for the highest quality, innovative knitwear technology, creativity and luxury for over 60 years; the brand which represents Beauty and Culture in the world by creating products - such as stockings, ready-to-wear items, underwear and bathing suits - that add innovation and fashion aesthetics to women lives.

First, all invited guests attended Ribbon Cutting - official store opening gala - at Fashion Central followed by media reception at beautiful Palliser Hotel in Calgary.

ARTwear 2010

It's been 8 years already since ArtWear is in Calgary and we couldn't be more proud to have such an amazing event happening in our city at beautiful Hotel Arts!!!

ARTwear is the annual Fall Fashion Fundraiser organized by The Art Gallery of Calgary which features a runway show highlighting the season's must-have fashions for women and men from some of the city's hottest boutiques!! This year guests had chance to experience taste of style of the designer - Lauren Bagliore and such retailers as: ChiChi Couture, Mealan, Primitive Culture,She Apparel, Crabapple Clothing as well as Thomas Jeffrey and Bloke - who presented the men's clothing line. It was amazing fashion show where lots of people was working on it: interior designing done by Basic Black Designs; stylization for fashion show by Ania Basak (ABStyle), Kim Flanagan (MommyWearDaily) and Domingo Lumanog (Characterized iMage Corp.); Hair & Makeup provided by Hedkandi and MAC Cosmetics.

The evening also included a Fashion Trunk Show Auction, where all guests could bid on unique styles for their Fall/Winter wardrobe; Silent Auction - composed of items donated by local businesses.

It is important to know that all funds raised at the ARTwear go towards The Art Gallery of Calgary's renowned public programming and their hands-on curriculum-baised art education programs for school groups from Kindergarten to grade 12.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP - CALGARY!!!

There was wedding photography workshop happening in second week of October 2010 in Calgary organized by Rafal Wegiel from RWPhoto. Two days of workshop were very intensive but it seems everyone enjoyed it!! On the second day - we had chance to work with beautiful woman - Iryna Ugryn who was our model. It was my pleasure to do makeup for her and hair style provided by Shauna Jayne from Behind the Chair!!!

NEW JERSEY FASHION WEEK 2010 - REVIEW

Each year, Fall is always an exciting time of the year - this is the time for fashion shows all over the world.

For the first time New Jersey also had its own fashion week. On October 11-12th, 2010 West Orange, NJ was crowded by all fashionistas who came to attend the New Jersey Fashion Week, which was held at the prestigious Pleasantdale Chateau - the most exclusive venue for social events in the Garden State. Showcasing the next generation of award-winning fashion designers from New Jersey, New York, California and Italy - the aim of this event was to "provide emerging fashion talent an opportunity to present their Spring / Summer 2011 Collections on a global scale to the industry and consumers" - says Donnella Tilery, NJFW Founder. This fashion event also allowed influential leading international beauty experts demonstrate the upcoming season's hair styles & cosmetic artistry techniques in a runway presentation. Held in the month of October - known as a breast cancer month - NJFW is supporting the charity of Susan G. Komen-for the Cure - North Jersey.

First day of NJFW was mainly "all about the hair" showing hair trends for 2011. More than 60 different hair looks were presented on runway as a result of great work of talented hair stylists & makeup artists from Panico Salon & Spa - owned by Jack Panico - also one of the founder of NJFW. Beautiful models was wearing clothes provided by Lord &Taylor- one of the sponsor for this event as well as by 3 designers: Nico & Adrian (www.nicoandadrian.com), Ari (www.arisoho.com) and Sandra Baquero (www.sandrabaquero.com).

Tuesday was the day for premier fashion designers - everyone had chance to experience wonderful creations of 7 designers : Elene Cassis from New York (www.elenecassis.com ), Kahri Ann Kerr from Brooklyn, NY (www.kahri.com ); Veronica Spadaro - Italy (www.veronicaspadaro.com ), Thomas Lavone Woodard from Newark, NJ (http://www.thomaslavone.com/); DeCristiano - Hawaii; Darius B. Gibbs from Englewood, NJ and Adolfo Sanchez from Los Angeles, California (aldofosanchezdesigns.com ).

Two days of fashion, beauty & style with presence of few reality TV stars - the Manzo sisters : Caroline and Dina from the Real Housewives of New Jersey; Elan Sassoon from Vidal Sassoon as well as celebrity hairstylist - George Ortiz.

I am sure everyone had great time at NJFW and I - as the Official NJFW Correspondent for Europe would like to thank Donnella Tilery for wonderful time!!
